BALTIMORE, MARYLAND DECORATED STONEWARE JARS, LOT OF TWO, salt-glazed, each having a "1 1/2" gallon capacity mark and of cylindrical form, comprising a stamped "P. HERRMANN." example with thin squared rim and remaining with a thicker squared rim. Each having brushed cobalt vertical double-bloom flower to each side. The pottery of Peter Herrmann (1825-1901), Baltimore, MD; and other. Circa 1875. 11 1/4" HOA, 6 3/4" DOA rim. Condition Herrmann example undamaged; remaining example having a Y-shaped hairline extending from base to just below shoulder, otherwise undamaged.
