PHILADELPHIA, PENNSYLVANIA DECORATED STONEWARE JAR, salt-glazed, "3" gallon capacity mark, cylindrical form with rounded shoulder, squared rim, beaded neck, and triple-incised shoulder ring, Albany-slip glazed interior. Brushed cobalt horizontal flower decoration repeated three times below shoulder. Probably the Pottery of Richard C. Remmey (1835-1904), Philadelphia, PA. Circa 1875. 14 5/8" H, 7 1/2" D rim.Condition Excellent, undamaged condition, except having two tight hairlines to base that do not appear to go through to interior.
