PENNSYLVANIA DECORATED STONEWARE JAR, salt-glazed, "1" gallon capacity mark, cylindrical form with squared rim and double-incised shoulder rings. Brushed cobalt horizontal flower with drooping bud repeated three times. Possibly Ralph J. Grier, Chester County, PA. Circa 1880. 10 1/8" H, 6" D rim.Condition Mostly undamaged, except having a shallow chip to base edge.
