PHILADELPHIA, PENNSYLVANIA DECORATED STONEWARE JAR, salt-glazed, approximately one-gallon capacity, cylindrical form with slight shoulder and squared rim, Albany-slip glazed interior. Brushed cobalt horizontal floral design repeated four times to shoulder. Possibly the Richard C. Remmey pottery. Circa 1870. 10 1/2" H, 5 3/4" D rim.Condition Having two minor shallow chips to rim, and three radial hairlines including two extending from base and one emanating from a stone pop that do not affect resonance.
