STAMPED "J. WEAVER", WESTERN PENNSYLVANIA DECORATED STONEWARE JUG, salt-glazed over slip coating, "3" gallon capacity, ovoid form with ringed mouth, double incised shoulder ring, applied strap handle with shallow medial groove. Brushed cobalt horizontal feathered foliated stem decoration repeated three times to front, additional cobalt to handle terminals. John Weaver, Beaver County, PA. 1840-1880. 16 1/2" HOA.Condition Excellent, mostly undamaged condition, except having a faint hairline to mouth.
