OHIO DECORATED STONEWARE JAR, salt-glazed, designated five-gallon capacity, cylindrical form with flat-top rounded rim, lightly beaded neck, incised shoulder ring, applied arched handles, Albany-slip glazed interior. Brushed cobalt vertical double bloom flower on a leafless stem with "5" above and incised "5" to reverse. Second half 19th century. 14" H, 9 1/2" D rim. Condition Having three rim cracks with painted epoxy-like substance applied to interior location.
