AMERICAN BLUE AND WHITE BRISTOL-GLAZED SPONGEWARE STONEWARE HANGING STRING HOLDER, conical form with three holes to rim for hanging and a hole to bottom for dispensing the string, having blue sponge decoration to the exterior and unglazed interior. Possibly Ohio. Late 19th/early 20th century. 6 3/4" H, 8 1/4" D rim.Condition Having a rim chip with an associated approximately 3" L crack and some dirt residue on the interior.
