ALEXANDRIA, VIRGINIA ATTRIBUTED DECORATED STONEWARE JAR, salt-glazed, approximately one-gallon capacity, cylindrical form with collared rim. Brushed and slip-trailed cobalt feathered wave design to shoulder full round. Possibly Benedict Cuthbert Milburn (1805-1867), Wilkes Street pottery, Alexandria, VA. Mid 19th century. 8 1/4" H, 6 5/8" D rim.Condition Excellent, mostly undamaged, except having a few minute flakes to rim.
