BALTIMORE, MARYLAND DECORATED STONEWARE JAR, salt-glazed, approximately one-gallon capacity, ovoid form with squared rim, double incised shoulder rings, and applied arched handles. Brushed cobalt horizontal floral design featuring two double-bloom flowers to each side, additional cobalt to handle terminals and below. Mid 19th century. 9 1/2" H, 6 1/4" D rim.Condition Very good condition, except having an X-shaped hairline crack to side with kiln kiss, one arm extending to rim. Manufacturing flaws including moderate kiln kiss to one side, as made.
