STAMPED "JOHN BELL", PENNSYLVANIA EARTHENWARE / REDWARE CROCKS, LOT OF TWO, lead-glazed, each of wide-mouth form, comprising a diminutive example with single-incised shoulder ring and an approximately one-gallon capacity example having additional "WAYNESBORO" below name, double-incised shoulder rings, and glazed to interior only. John Bell (1800-1880), Waynesboro, PA. 1840-1880. 4 1/2" H, 4 3/4" D rim and 8" H, 8" D rim.Condition Diminutive example mostly undamaged except having a some minute/minor glaze flakes to rim; one-gallon example having a shallow to chip to base edge, otherwise undamaged.
