SHOOTING / MARKSMAN'S EYEGLASSES OR SPECTACLES, LOT OF FOUR, amber glass oval-shaped lenses each frosted on their exteriors with a small circular area left unfrosted at centers for focus, one with frosting on both sides, two examples with rusted steel frames, the other two frames of nickel or similar white metal, all with straight folding temples and arched bridges, no marks located. American. Late 19th century. 5 3/4" LOA.Literature: J. William Rosenthal - Spectacles and Other Vision Aids, pg. 295-297, fig. 563.Condition Each with moderate routine wear and perhaps some bending; steel framed examples each moderately to heavily rusted but seemingly operable.
