RICHMOND, VIRGINIA STONEWARE WHISKEY ADVERTISING JUGS, LOT OF TWO, Bristol-slip glazed, each of cylindrical form with sharp shoulder, plain mouth, and applied strap handle, comprising a designated two-gallon example with Albany-slip glazed top half and a half-gallon example. Stamps include blue-printed "THE PHIL G. KELLY CO., / STRAIGHT (K) WHISKIES, / K / RICHMOND, VA." with "2" capacity flanked by decorative stencils above and black-printed "PHIL G. KELLY / K / STRAIGHT / WHISKIES / RICHMOND, VA." Phil G. Kelly Co., Richmond, VA. 1905-1915. 8 1/2" and 13 1/2" HOA.Condition Half-gallon example having a flake to mouth and handle, with moderate crazing; "2" gallon example having a flake to mouth, two chips to shoulder and a shallow flake to base edge.
