GERMAN VILLEROY & BOCH NEW YORK BREWMASTER CERAMIC STEIN, mold 1526 pug example, black transfer-printed image of a barrel with brewing tools and hops with "BRAUMEISTER VEREIN VON NEW=YORK UND UMGEGEND / 1881-1906" to front, having polychrome transfer hops design flanking handle, ceramic inlaid lid, thumbrest with crest motif, 1/2L size. Green-printed Mercury mark with "VILLEROY & BOCH / METTLACH" and "MADE IN GERMANY" to underside. Dated 1906. 6 1/4" HOA.Literature: Kirsner - The Mettlach Book (Third Edition), p. 173, #1526.Condition Mostly undamaged, except having a minor hairline to lid.
