COLORED AND TINTED LENS PINCE-NEZ EYEGLASSES, LOT OF 11, mostly round and oval shaped lenses of various colors including light orange-amber, teal green, light blue, and light or dark smoky lenses including a few folding examples, two of which have gutta percha and blued-steel frames and nosepieces, other examples with varying metal, gold-filled, steel and some tortoise shell and cork components. Various makers. Third and fourth quarter 19th century. 4 1/2" LOA.Condition Good to excellent condition, several examples undamaged, others with minor bending and/or corrosion to metal parts of bridges or nose pieces; lightest-gray frameless example with a break and glued repair to lens near one nosepiece, light amber with a possible small fracture to one lens also near nosepiece.
