ASSORTED METAL FRAME SPECTACLES OR EYEGLASSES, LOT OF 16, mostly with oval or round lenses/frames but including one eight-sided, lens colors including several cobalt blue, an emerald green, amber, and smoky dark gray, various metals including several steel, a couple likely gold filled including one stamped "FORSYTH", some brass, or possibly unmarked silver including an example stamped "J. PETERS" and one marked "COIN / MILLER", a mix of styles including sliding-pin extension temples, straight, curved wire, and two pince-nez, six clamshell-style or slip cases in the group. Various makers. 19th century. 7 3/4" LOA.Condition Fair to good overall condition, each with light to moderate routine wear and perhaps some bending especially to temples; some with moderate corrosion and a couple with replacement pins or make-do temple repairs; some steel examples very heavily rusted, and the eight-sided lens pairs with cracked or missing lenses.
