ENGLISH STERLING SILVER SPECTACLES, LOT OF FOUR, each with oval lenses, sliding-pin or telescoping extension temples, arched bridges, each with lion passant for sterling fineness, city marks comprising three examples with anchor for Birmingham and one London, decipherable date marks including 1826 and 1836. Various makers. First half 19th century. 4 1/2" LOA.Condition Very good to excellent condition, with some routine wear and tarnish to surfaces; a couple with loose/possibly replacement pins or old repairs to hinges.
