CONTINENTAL CERAMIC FIGURAL HEAD HUMIDORS, LOT OF FIVE, each wearing a hat including one with "Polin" to band and one wearing a beret/caubeen-style hat with a gilt upside down horseshoe, two having sponge holder top. Marks to underside include impressed "BB", "Importe", and various numerals. Bernard Bloch, Eichwald, Bohemia; and others. Fourth quarter 19th/early 20th century. 6 5/8" HOA.Literature: Horowitz - Figural Humidors, Mostly Victorian, horseshoe example p. 25, fig. 63.Condition Grey-haired example undamaged; Polin example having some possible minor paint touch-ups; horseshoe hat example having a flake to neck tie; two having restoration/paint touch-ups to hat.
