ANTIQUE / VINTAGE RELIGIOUS STANHOPE ARTICLES, LOT OF FIVE, comprising a carved vegetable tagua coquilla nut egg-form sewing container with a nativity scene stanhope, a carved bone or other material article with a red-washed finish featuring a cross finial containing a stanhope of "Apparition of our Lady at Knock / August 21 1879", a wax seal with carved handle featuring French religious images titled "Souvenir du Couronnement", and a Canadian souvenir pairing of folding sewing/manicure tools each featuring painted floral decoration and "Sir. Ste. Anne de Beaupre" to exterior holding a stanhope of the New Basilica. Late 19th/first half 20th century. Egg-form container 2 1/2" HOA, 1 5/8" DOA rim.Condition Mostly in very good overall condition with minor to moderate wear and other imperfections including surface scratches, nicks, and/or discoloration; egg-form container with a few cracks notably along rims; wax seal with metal end slightly loose but secure; folding tools with a few flakes to painted decoration.
