Gilt Bronze CUPIDO CHERUB AMOR Clock Empire c1820 NR This gilt bronze clock is made in France around 1820, just the French Empire period. Bronze royale case with gilt bronze parts, on top the winged Amor with his bow, the quiver with arrows on the ground, the dial corners with palmettes reliefs, the base with acantus rims, on 4 elaborate engraved feet. Bronze dial with Roman numerals and steel hands. The center with double floweral rim. Early French clockwork with pendulum on silk suspension, 8 days going work and striking the 1/1 hours and ½ hours on a silvered bell. Good running and striking condition. Measurements : at feet 6.5" x 4", high 14”, dial diam. 4”. The parts and gilt in fine condition, view the pictures.
