A fine Gilt Bronze Waisted BOULLE INLAYS CLOCK c1860 NRThis fine clock with boulle work and extra fine gilt bronze parts is made in France around 1860. Corners and sides of the wooden case have gilt bronze scrolls and corner ornaments. All around with red shell veneer, three sides with sawed brass scrolls inlays, the so called Boulle work, and fine done. Hinging dial door with glass window, ebonised back side with hinging door with lock. Below the dial a glass window showing the pendulum with sunburst and central face. All fire-guilding and parts in good condition. Fine white porcelain enamel dial with Roman hours and Arabic minutes numerals and steel hands . Perfect condition. French clockwork with pendulum, 8 days going work and striking the 1/1 and ½ hours on a spring gong. Back platine is engraved with # 290446, and with text : âeoe1 millionâe and âeoeB W Lâeoe. Fine condition, good running and striking. Measurements : clock high 16âe, at feet 9.75âe x 5.25âe, dial door diam. 5.5âe. All over in perfect condition.
