CONTINENTAL CERAMIC / PORCELAIN LARGE FIGURAL ASIAN HUMIDORS, LOT OF TWO, comprising one German porcelain bright polychrome hand-painted standing example depicting a figure wearing two beaded necklaces and floral-decorated garments and one sitting example featuring a figure wearing a hat and brown robe, holding the end of his twisted queue in right hand. Conta & Boehme, Poessneck, Germany; and other. Fourth quarter 19th/early 20th century. 11 1/4" HOA.Condition Porcelain example undamaged; sitting example having some imperfections including possible restoration/paint touch-ups, especially to top, a chip/loss to top interior flange, base having two minor flakes to rim, a moderate flake to one sleeve cuff and a minute flake to other cuff, and a flake to top and side of one finger, and some scattered glaze loss.
