BRITISH SPATTERWARE CERAMIC ARTICLES, LOT OF FIVE, comprising three rainbow examples including a four-footed creamer with three-color sponged decoration having bands of red, blue, and green, a teapot having alternating bands of purple- and red-sponged decorations, and a bowl with polychrome hand-painted tulip and alternating black- and purple-sponged decoration, one plate featuring a polychrome peafowl with red-sponged decoration, and a covered cheese dish with brown-sponged rims and yellow, blue, and red-painted scroll designs to cover. Unmarked. Second quarter 19th century. 4 5/8" HOA.Condition Cheese dish having a cover with a flake to interior edge, otherwise undamaged; plate having a rim hairline, primarily visible to underside; teapot having restoration to spout and foot ring ground; creamer having an approximately 2" L T-shaped rim crack and a hairline below bottom handle terminal; bowl having a rim hairline and an area of discoloration near flower.
