Pair of carded novelty items produced and sold during Beatlemania in 1964. 8x10-3/8" cardboard w/plastic-enclosed section holding iron particles used in conjunction w/included magnetic "Potters Bar" to "draw" hair on the printed images of The Beatles. Made in England by Merit/J & L Randall, Ltd. ©1964 NEMS Enterprises Ltd. This is an original, not the commonly seen reproduction. Illustrated cardboard frame has slight warp and is evenly aged w/some scattered spots of staining on back, which also features caricature full body images of The Beatles. Plastic sleeve holding "Potters Bar" has cracks to end. Plastic "window" shows wear from use and has dent at upper left corner. Fine overall. Scarce. Comes w/unlicensed novelty "Beetle Comb" issued on 4-7/8x9-5/8" blister card w/large rubber beetle. Card has moderate staining and corner tip wear. VG/Fine. Contents are NM.
