AMERICAN ROOKWOOD POTTERY WIEDEMANN BREWERY ADVERTISING CERAMIC STEINS, LOT OF TWO, each featuring polychrome hand-painted relief decoration featuring a spread-wing eagle with shield above a "W" straddling a beer keg/barrel, pewter hinged lid with thumbrest. Impressed marks to underside include "THE GEO. WIEDEMANN BREWING CO. INC." and Rookwood logo with 14 rays above "XLVIII". Rookwood Pottery, Cincinnati, OH. Dated 1948. 5 3/8" HOA. Condition One undamaged; remaining having a minor bruise to base edge and some glaze crazing.
