Here is a nice circulated example of the Massachusetts copper cent of 1788. This is the variety with a period after "Massachusetts."The coin was counterstamped by J N Strong (or J H Strong?).The eagle is nicely defined and detailed, the Indian a little less so. Some of the lettering is weak along the edge. The coin has natural color and does not appear ever to have been cleaned. Eye appeal is good.Bidding opens at $50, with no reserve. Shipping, by First Class Mail or better, within 1 business day of receiving payment. Shipping to US only on this item (including Puerto Rico, Virgin Islands, Guam, etc.). Massachusetts customers must pay 6.25% sales tax or furnish a resale number. I only accept PayPal; per eBay rules, I am unable to accept checks/M0s.Counterstamp might also be J R Strong.Or J K Strong.
