8x10.75". 1 sheet of paper, 3 pgs. Dated September 1, 1860. Republican Central Committee of the State of California letterhead. Patriotic imagery at top w/"Lincoln" on train and "Hamlin" on ship. The contents of the letter are a call for the formation of local Republican clubs to help rally support for Lincoln and Hamlin in the upcoming election to help deliver California's electoral votes to the Republican ticket. Signed by several members of the committee. Paper is brittle w/moderate edge wear, including minor areas of loss and some small tears along edges. Age toning along top edge. Otherwise moderate handling. Overall Fine.
