11.5x16.5" glazed cotton. This design has long been a collector favorite because of its charming spelling "Abram" and manageable size. This specimen is from the legendary 1980s 'quilt find' when nearly two dozen campaign flags from the 1860-1868 elections were discovered in use as the backing of a quilt. Of the group, 8 to 10 were of this design and because of their utilitarian use, all were sheltered from the decimating light preserving their fragile color pigments. Vertical stitch line along fly end and tiny stitch holes along bottom and top edges where it was removed from quilt backing. These detract insignificantly and otherwise this specimen is in superb condition with bold color and only trivial age. A terrific display example that will captivate onlookers in any office or collection room setting. Lincoln material is blue chip within the world of political campaign material culture and parade flags are at the top of the heap. An excellent opportunity to obtain an investment grade piece of American history.
