Featured in The Art of Rock as plate #3.185. This iconic design was produced by renowned artist Gunther Keiser for Hendrix's 1969 German tour. It has long be held as one of the premier designs for any artist of the psychedelic era. The image is so beloved that a litany of varieties exists, including a smaller and more frequently seen variety sold on the 1969 American tour that carries a "Darian House" credit in lower white margin. The present offering is not to be confused with the merchandising posters from the American tour, this rarer full size variety carries text on back "Poster-Programm" and additional German text translating to "In this folded form it serves as concert information. Unfolded at home, it is also the original poster in DIN A0 format for the Jimi Hendrix Experience concert tour" indicating it was intended for distribution during the 1969 German tour for which the design was originally produced.
