Pricing & History
16" tall figure w/jointed wooden arms/legs and painted composition body and head. Manufactured by Cameo Doll Co., c. 1930s. Cameo decal remains nearly 100% complete on underside of foot. Mascot for Hotpoint appliances, a company founded in 1911 that merged w/General Electric in 1918. Doll has slotted hands that held advertising cards for store display. Figure has molded "H" composition "hat" on head. "Hotpoint" decal on chest shows just lt. wear and doll has has some tiny paint touch-ups. Typical craze lines to composition head w/2" hairline crack behind one ear and 6.5" hairline crack on opposite side of head, running from bottom of neck up side of head and to point behind "hat." Both cracks have stabilized. Scattered lt. wear/aging but still bright and glossy. Fine/VF overall. Nice advertising item. Michael Lartigaut Collection.
