Fruit and product jars with labels add another dimension to these jars beyond just the jar design, the closure style, and glass manufacturer; the labels identify the companies who felt these jars were good enough to pack their products in, they tell us where the companies were located, and help date the particular jars.This is an 8" tall, clear, screw-thread, tapered-oval, Design Patent, jar, base-embossed with the J-in-a-keystone trademark of the Knox Glass Bottle Co. of Mississippi, Jackson, Mississippi. The design includes connected circles in a double band around the shoulder and six horizontal lines around the bottom above the heel.
