SCARCE SQUAT BLOB BEERF. SEESSENGUTH & SON, GRAVESVILLE, WISCONSINYou are bidding on a scarce F. SEESSENGUTH & SON squat blob beer bottle from Gravesville, Wisconsin. Dating between 1880-1885, this hard to Wisconsin beer bottle is aqua in color and stands 7-3/8" tall by 2-1/2" diameter. It is blown in mold with an applied bulbous blob lip, thick cylindrical shape, extra heavy glass body, and a smooth base. It is strongly embossed on the front side of the cylinder reading as follows:*****************************************F. SEESSENGUTH & SON*****************************************The F. Seessenguth Brewery opened around 1880 and quickly slipped into oblivion. There are no records available to determine the Brewery's precise fate. The F. Seessenguth Brewery was the only brewery ever located in Gravesville, Wisconsin and, apparently, the last. This very scarce, short run bottle certainly has extremely limited geographical distribution making it very difficult to obtain. This bottle is in excellent condition with no cracks or chips and just a few surface anomalies ie., small, shallow gouge just above the "NG" in Seessenguth, otherwise fine. You will receive the exact bottle shown in the auction if you are the successful bidder.Buyer pays $7.94 priority postage and packaging with prompt, secure shipping.
