10x14.25" thick artboard has mixed media original art by prolific and renowned Spanish comics cover artist Rafael López Espí. Cover is for Triple Action Vol. 1 #12, which reprints Defenders story from issue #18-19. Published in Spain by Mundi, c. late 1970s. Artboard has been hand-painted from edge to edge w/similar layout from the US issue cover #18 by Gil Kane. Image has the Defenders- Hulk, Dr. Strange and Luke Cage/Power Man versus the "Wrecking Crew". Artboard has lt. aging/handling wear but art remains bright and clean. Exc. A wonderful example from the era when Espí's art dominated covers of Spanish comic books, featuring one of Marvel's popular characters. Superb and dynamic cover art. Comes w/reading copy of the Spanish comic this cover art was created for.
