2.25", no maker, with very fine dot screen so image appears as if on real photo paper. Mirror glass has small marks and bit of tone but less than 5% actual loss of silvering. Celluloid has minor light wear in reflected light with a tiny dark brown spot on extreme rim at 5 o'clock. Overall VF. The text panel on his shoulder is part of the photographic image and indicates this was a movie theatre give-away. The Son of the Sheik, a sequel to 1921's The Sheik, opened at the Million Dollar Theatre in Los Angeles July 9, running for four weeks, and then Valentino toured as it was released in first run theatres across the USA. On August 15, 1926 Valentino collapsed in his New York City hotel and was rushed to the hospital where he died August 23. His death from peritonitis at age 31 created a national wave of hysteria. Less than two weeks later, the film went into general release quickly grossing a million dollars. Given the rarity of this mirror (our first seen) it is likely it was used by just one first run theater while he was still alive.
