Hearst ran against Charles Evans Hughes in the 1906 gubernatorial race and lost to Hughes in the closely contested election. Hearst had previously held office as a member of Congress prior to his run for governor in 1906. Even aging on ribbon w/some fading to the text. Scattered light staining w/some areas of thinness on ribbon. The ribbon is Fine. Cello has light scattered wear and is Exc.
