8" overall w/1.75" cello. J. A. Joel & Co. back paper and label on reverse of ribbon. Likely a 1908 hopeful badge, as same pinback was attached to similar badge dated 1908. Some aging wear along the edges of the cello, most notably along right edge. Razor sharp portrait of the Republican candidate. Some fading on the gold letter application on ribbon text, most notably on "Hammond". Small 1/8" horizontal separation just right of "Hammond". Otherwise moderate handling. Overall VF. John Hillhouse Collection.
