Large 14.5x18.25x5" deep cardboard box w/illustrated lid contains all plastic assembly kit No. 470-498, ©1964 Universal Pictures Company Inc. Box design includes large portrait image of Frankenstein as portrayed by Glenn Strange plus photos of model being assembled and put into action. Box notes assembled model is almost two feet tall w/arms that move up and down. Moderate scattered aging/handling wear w/lower edge creasing, lower right corner bump resulting in 3" edge split. Box bottom has two split corners and one staple repaired corner. Still displays VG overall. Frankenstein comes w/headstone piece and chain which attaches to this. Parts are black/light and dark gray plastic, 20 chain links in bronze/copper plastic. Kit comes w/lightly aged instruction sheet. Fine. Kit has paintbrush and three paint bottles. Pieces all loose but appear complete. Chain parts, neck bolts and button have been partially removed from included sprue. Pieces are in aged bags but likely not originals. Includes original rubber band that has split w/age. Kit is o/w unused and VF/Exc. overall. The largest monster figure kit Aurora ever released, it was designed by Marvin Glass who also designed Mr. Machine, Mousetrap and the Rock 'Em Sock 'Em Robots among others.
