2.5x1.5". Lot of 38 from set of 50. ACC# T87. These cards represent the first series of this set. Cards bear no series designation and identify the set as "Modern American Airplanes." In 1940 Brown & Williamson Tobacco Corp. sponsored a radio program "Wings of Destiny". These cards were originally issued w/their tobacco products in conjunction w/the show. They were collected w/albums, and often were glued, or stapled in them. The PSA grades for the lot breakdown as follows- 9 Mint(8), 8 NM-Mint(7), 7 NM(8), 6 EX-Mint(2), 5.5 EX+(1), 5 EX(3), 4 VG-EX(8) and 3 VG(1). The total GPA for this lot is 7.19. Missing #'s are as follows- #'s 3, 9, 11, 14, 15, 19, 20, 21, 25, 33, 34, & 47.
