Pricing & History
2-3/8x2-7/8". Set of 30 (the insanely rare McKinley card is not included and due to rarity, set is considered to be complete at 30 cards). ACC# R114. Card fronts features U.S. President portraits of Washington to FDR, bio text backs. Issued w/three different backgrounds that also include orange and blue (see next two lots). This is the only non-sport issue by U.S. Caramel. The McKinley card was originally produced in minuscule numbers and only a few are known today, commanding huge prices when they surface. The company short-printed this card because they ran an incentive program of sending in a full set of cards for redemption of a box of chocolates. Suffice it to say few kids were awarded this prize. The CGC grades for the set breakdown as follows- 8 NM-Mint(2), 7.5 NM+(1), 6.5 EX-Mint+(1), 6 EX-Mint(4), 5.5 EX+(1), 5 EX(2), 4.5 VG-EX+(8), 4 VG-EX(4), 3.5 VG+(1), 3 VG(3), 1.5 Fair(2) an 1 Poor(1). Set comes w/5.5x7" wax paper wrapper w/title "American Heroes Caramel" and images of the U.S. Capitol, Liberty Bell, Independence Hall, Faneuil Hall, Lincoln Log Cabin. Moderate wear/age w/scattered creases as originally folded. some small holes and tears, one w/a 1" piece of archival tape on back. Good.
