1922 George V Silver Threepence - Die Error / Die Clash ??? Cat. Ref. S.4026

Hi and welcome to my auction. This listing is for the 1922 George V Silver Threepence that you can see in the photos, and this is the coin you will receive.A circulated grade but as you can see in the photos this one seems to of been struck on a faulty or broken die. Looking at the obverse this is particularly clear to see, but if you look closely on the reverse you will see that the edge is not consistant and looks like it has been struck very slightly off centre.Was this the coin that broke the die? I suppose we will never know, however this is going to be a pretty scarce if not unique coin I would reckon. Perhaps somone who collects die error coins would like it for their collection.Please do though refer to the photos for your own appraisal of this very collectible old coin.This small 50% Silver coin is approx. 16.12mm in diameter and 0.82mm thick, it weighs in at 1.4g on my electonic jewelery scales and has a plain edge.1922 George V Threepence Cat.
