Pomare in Hawaii is the parent company of Hilo Hattie. Jim Romig established Kaluna Hawaii Sportswear in 1962. In 1979 the brand changes its name into Hilo Hattie, which was the stage name of a popular Hawaiian perfomer. In 2009 the company was bought by Royal Hawaiian Creations. This particular Pomare clothing label is from a 1960s shirt.
