Riverside Glass Works was formed in 1879 in Wellsburg, West Virginia, but the first glass was produced in January 1880. The company was successful and in November 1899 they merged into the newly formed National Glass Company of Pittsburgh. In 1907 the National Glass Company went bankrupt and the assets of Riverside glass works were sold to pay creditors. The Croesus pattern was manufactured by Riverside Glass Works around 1898 and can be seen here on a typical spooner.
