Hi folks, up for sale today is a nice WW2 Japanese katana. I am by no means a sword expert so please review the pictures and ask needed questions before bidding. This katana is really attractive overall. The blade edge has no knicks to it and is sharp. The point of the blade is in nice shape with no bends or damage. The blade itself does have a few areas of blemish as shown in pictures. The leather seppa with the button appears to be a replacement from what I can tell. The handle is in really nice shape and the fit is overall good. It is slightly loose but may be from the broken meguki. I can fashion a new meguki if you would like so please let me know. I believe the signature on this reads Yoshi Mitsu from what I have been told. That may or may not be accurate. The blade does have a nice hamon line that is visible. The wrap on the handle is in good shape. The ray skin on one side of the handle appears to be segmented and not one solid piece. I am not sure if this was the way it was produced or if this happened over time. I will be more than happy to answer any questions to the best of my ability. This will make a nice addition to your home and collection.Feel free to email me with any questions, comments or concerns with the item. The item will come with a 60-day money back guarantee if the item has been misrepresented in any way
