up for your consideration is this authentic WWI US Military Doughboy Helmet. it still has it's liner, but there is a decent amount of dry rot in spots. it needs to be handled gently. the leather chip strap is torn. the helmet has light surface rust in spots, but overall is still solid and sturdy. an example in last photo. the outside surface of the helmet is rough. top rivet and side rivets are present & tight to helmet. the metal side chin strap slides still move as should. marking under the brim of helmet reads "Z C 6 6", though i can't be positive about the last one, i put under a magnifying glass & it appears it would be a 6 instead of an S. overall a really cool piece to add to your collection. low starting price & no reserve. thanks for looking & !
