Offered is a beautiful wooden foundry mold or pattern representing a gear or wheel. Please note the old string -- this is holding on an additional piece on the back that fits in. It shows in the second picture. This wheel is 12" in diameter and 5-1/2" deep counting the additional piece. If you removed this piece (undo the string), this could be mounted flat on a wall. It's marked "Stark Brick Co." and is an incredible example of the Industrial Age.A large number of these are marked either "Stark Brick" or "Stark Ceramics" which is w they were acquired. This company was in business in Ohio for 98 years before they unfortunately closed last year. These wooden molds are truly part of a by-gone era -- the Industial Age!!These were covered with dust, which we have cleaned off, but we did not oil the pieces nor put any stain or finishing product on them -- we preferred to leave them natural and let the future owner decide how they want them finished (or left the way they are).PayPal is preferred -- The items will be very securely packed and shipped promptly. Any questions, please email me.
