Up for auction is this extra clean 19th century New England salt glazed 6 quart, 1/2 gallon stoneware pitcher with a very nice shiny cobalt blue floral type double plume design. It is not marked but is probably a Norton or possibly a New York piece. The condition is excellent with the exception of a chip on the rim and some factory generated clay separations which happens in the kiln and is common on pieces this early. Measures 10-3/4" tall and 7-1/2" at the base. as you will not be disappointed with this piece.
