William McKinley: 1897 Official Inaugural Badge. 44 mm copper medal featuring jugate busts of McKinley & Hobart. The reverse shows an American eagle, shield and the names of the original thirteen colonies. Made by Joseph K. Davison of Philadelphia. Suspended from a yellow satin ribbon with American flag inscribed "Civic". The hanger at the top depicts the Capitol. The lower bar is inscribed "Inauguration March 4. 1897". Excellent.
