William Bill Shinn Ceramic Art Pottery Pitcher Jug Dog Golden Retriever OOAK For bid is this massive pitcher or jug. Measures 11 ½” tall and 15” wide from spout tip to handle. Created by the well-known ceramic artisan William Shinn. Featuring the head of a dog, perhaps a beagle, retriever or dachshund, take your pick. There are matching dog footprints on the front and back. The colors are like those the beach and sand. Reminds me of long walks on the beach with my dog. Truly a one a kind piece of art and sure to please any ceramic artist or dog lover. Artist signed on the bottom. Shinn was a very famous Southern California Artist who has passed away. Retired from Hancock College in 1988, recognized internationally for his paintings and ceramics. He has had over 40 years of art experience beginning in the late 50's at the Academy Julian and Sorbonne in Paris, France. a Bachelors Degree in Painting and a Masters Degree in Ceramics at UCLA.
