Whites Pottery of Utica, N.Y.Stoneware Nosegay Club Cheese JarComing to you from Doc's Crocks, America's Source for Antique Stoneware , i s this wonderful Nosegay Club Cheese Jar made by the Whites Pottery of Utica, New York.This cheese was made by Burrell and Whitman of Little Falls, N.Y.Dating between 1890 and 1907, this piece is a wonderful example of the skill that the Whites Pottery had gained in molded stoneware during those years. It is featured in Christopher Bensch, The Blue and the Gray: Oneida County Stoneware , p. 27.This beauty features a background of raised semi-circles the "Nosegay Club Cheese, Trade Mark" Surrounding a Center Rose-- all Accented in Cobalt. The lid repeats the semi-circular design. Measures 3 3/4" tall.Excellent Condition . No damage of any kind! No chips, hairlines, cracks, stains, or restoration pairs on either base or lid.
