This auction is for a Whitall Tatum Co. Carl Lorenz German Drug Store Scranton, Pa. Medicine Bottle. Made sometime between 1875 up to 1900. Embossed on the side is Carl Lorenz German Drug Store Scranton, PA.. On the bottom embossed W.T. & Co. U S A. Approx. 5" tall and 2" width. Whitall Tatum mass-produced special-order prescription bottles for hundreds of pharmacies, such as Smith & Hodgson in downtown Philadelphia, embossed with their names and addresses and also marked "W.T. & Co." on the base. These mostly date from 1875 up to 1900. Fairly good condition for this old bottle with some white stain in the bottle and a tiny nick on the top. I am not a professional grader of this type of item.
