This 1940s ring, probably from a candy maker, has a brass adjustable band base with side designs the same as the Kix Atomic Bomb Ring. The ring top is also somewhat similar in concept although this is a larger piece with two-thirds made of aluminum which has a noticeable notched cut-out on the top and a tiny opening in the front so that when blown into it produces a high-pitched whistle. The other end of this piece has cream-colored plastic cap featuring four tail fins like a bomb and this end piece still glows brightly in the dark. This piece is removable so likely a secret compartment feature as well. Lt. wear and age but much bright luster remains. VF. We have only offered a few examples in our 57 years, the last was in 2015 and it sold for $1,150. A must have for any serious premium ring collection.
